The Louise Fund

About Us

The Clara Louise Porter Memorial Fund, AKA, "The Louise Fund," is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that aims to help ambitious, creative, and worthy students attain culinary or hospitality educations after graduating from high school.

As The Louise Fund has very little overhead, 100% of donated funds are tax deductible and will go directly toward funding scholarships.

Scholarship Information

The Louise Fund Scholarship will be awarded to up to four students per year in the amount of $2500 per person, payable to the recipients upon proof of admission to an accredited 2 or 4 year culinary or hospitality program.

After first only focusing on Menard and McCulloch Counties, and then offering the scholarship throughout all 25 counties of the Texas Hill Country, the Louise Fund now accepts applications from students all over the state, from public and private high schools.

Each recipient will receive a one-time payment of $2500 per person. For more information on applying, please click below.

There are multiple (and an expanding number of) culinary and hospitality education options, from four-year university programs and private culinary schools to community college classes.
